BYE BYE BOBBY BROWN

When life is shit and friends are going through stuff, I am known to reassure them by saying this:
"It all works out in the end. If it hasn't worked out, it is'nt the end."
I can't honestly recall where I heard that saying but it always holds true.

In the end, it is ALL working out for Miss Bobbi Kristina Brown.
Following her mother's passing, the teenager is going to change her name to Kristina Houston.
I LOVE IT.
The name suits her and this is something she has wanted to do since her parents divorce in 2006.
The 19-year-old wants to change her name because of its association with her father, Bobby Brown.

JON BON DO-ME TURNED 50

My Jon Bon Do-Me turned 50 this month.
**SIGH**
Truth be told, we had a rocky start.
I didn't like him at all in the beginning.

I was gaga over him once he cut his hair and the years that followed.

I own an autographed poster, from back in the day, of Keep The Faith.
Long story short: the entire band was woken up to sign this poster for me :)
Sleepy headed Jon Bon Jovi came out of his hotel room wearing nothing more than leather pants and knee high Doc Martin's.
Again ***SIGH***
These days, I just really admire the guy because he does REALLY great things for humanity.
Who would have known? Who could have predicted this one?

DON'T BE ASHAMED OF THAT

Parker need not be ashamed of the memory laps she had when reading the title of my last post.
"Bring on the Dancing Bares" was not a play on Echo and The Bunnymen's "Bring on the Dancing Horses."
In fact, I had to listen to the song to remember what Parker was talking about.
Parker confesses: "I clearly need to give back my membership in the Jake Ryan Fan Club."
Well Parker, Ol' Pal O' Mine, dont give it back over Echo and The Bunnymen, hand it over when the membership Police to knock on your door re: your Madge Love.

Am I losing my 80's touch?

Am i officially old?

When I saw the title of Libby's blog "Bring on the Dancing Bares" I had to turn to the trusting interweb to jog my memory on who sang Bring on the Dancing Horses. 

Ashamed.

My 7 year old daughter can remember Jake Ryan and I can't remember Echo and the Bunnymen.  I clearly need to give back my membership in the Jake Ryan Fan Club. 

MADGE: THE GREAT DIVIDER

Libby and I are destin to disagree forevah on the merits of Madge.

I love the Material Girl.  Libby doesn't love her at all.

And I love her new song, regardless of how many stripper poles will be used in support of it.

But why I like it the most..... is the sh+tshow it has caused with that d-bag Joe Francis.

I like anything that has him spending money on legal fees.  All the while increasing the publicity for the Material Girl.

Davy Jones, the former lead singer of The Monkee's has died of a heart attack at 66 years old.
This Sleepy Jean can't be cheered up today :(
To me, Davy Jones was the epitome of cute.
