In 1985, they were world famous and we loved them for their MUSIC.
20 + years later and I know more about these people's daily happenings, phone calls, medical records, sexual exploits and preferrences, and private lives then I do my own friends.
Paparazzi and tabloids have since given us every dirty detail of their private lives.
Put it in perspective; to know so much about someone I haven't met and who has no clue about me, makes me feel creepy.
