I will never understand how long hair, spandex, make up and band names
like Queen were and still are, considered the benchmark of masculinity.
For the record, it has been said that Freddy Mercury discovered George Michael
when he was working as a waiter at his father's Greek Restaurant.
It is also a known fact that Michael Jackson's favorite song was "Another One Bites The Dust" by Queen.
Listen to Michael Jackson's music and you will hear it's strong influence.
***Queen were originally reluctant to release this as a single, but backstage after a Queen gig at the Los Angeles forum, a visiting Michael Jackson convinced them it would be a hit. "Michael and all his brothers were all going 'That's a fantastic track. You must release it,'" recalled Queen drummer Roger Taylor to Q magazine December 2009.
And who can ever forget Eddie Van Halen, in all his arrogance, thinking so little of Michael Jackson's
appeal that he did the guitar solo in "Beat It" FOR FREE!
DUMBEST MOVE EVER!!!!
