WORDS OF WISDOM FROM THE 1980'S

Everyday I receive chain emails from friends.
These are lists of words of wisdom, pleasant thoughts, reminders of gratitude that we are encouraged to pay it forward.
The lists inspire the email recipient to appreciate the simple every day wonders, the things that really matter in the big picture of life.
Today I thought: "How would an 80's list read?"
Well here's what I think;

1) RELAX...DONT DO IT.
2) “Screws fall out all the time, the world is an imperfect place.” — John Bender. The Breakfast Club
3)  Phone Home.
4)  Choose Life.
5) “If you start out depressed everything’s kind of a pleasant surprise.” — Lloyd Dobbler. Say Anything
6) “Nerds, jocks. My side, your side. It’s all bullshit. Its hard enough just trying to be yourself.” — Ronald    Miller. Can’t Buy Me Love
7) “People on ‘ludes should not drive!” Jeff Spicolli. Fast Times at Ridgemont High
8)  Save Ferris.
9)  “Stop feeling sorry for yourself. It’s bad for your complexion.” Randy. Sixteen Candles
10)“Everything is not an anecdote. You have to discriminate. You choose things that are funny or mildly amusing or interesting. Have a point. It makes it SO much more interesting for the listener!” — Neal. Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.
11) “Life moves pretty fast. You don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” — Ferris Bueller. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
12) Party like it's 1999.
